When Life Gets Black&White

If I were to describe my style (in colors), it would be 'Black&White'. Some might find it quite basic, classic,or for others, boring. But these colors would be my staples, especially on days when I just feel like donning myself with something casual. Expect that it would be B&W. Learn more of my classic wardrobe essentials here, and see if you already have them in your closet. If not, you know what to do, girls....go shopping!^^

I like the way how this button down blouse looks more like of a kimono here. ^^

Starry Starry Night

Ah! Finally I was able to wear this vintage skirt that's been lurking in my closet for quite some time now. Paired it with this simple Tee which I purchased 3 days ago to give that chic look. Though season's transitioning in a few days, I still might be stuck with some light shades since I live in a tropical place. Hang on, Summer, I'm not done with you yet.

The Climb

Fashion is all about being creative and versatile with your clothing. So who says you can't wear your shirts as skirts? Seen from The Sartorialist and other bloggers like Park and Cube, Columbine, my favorite version from  Magdarling...Now here's my version of 'shirt worn as skirt'. While others worn theirs in long sleeves skirts, luckily I was blessed with a small waist so a short sleeves shirt would just do. By the way, this shirt was my grandpa's -  a hand-me-down. Talk about vintage, huh?
Intended to pair this outfit with heels, but my feet would kill me if I did so, because its every muscle is still in excruciating pain after hiking Mt Arayat last weekend. So I just went with flats instead.

Photos first 'coz every muscle in my body is crying for help. I'll talk more about this post and my weekend tomorrow. Good night~

Target shoes

I promised myself that I would be posting pictures of these shoes once I'd received them. Ordered them online from Target, (my first time to purchase online, mind you). And exactly a week ago, they had finally made their way back home to me . Yes, I waited for them for almost 6 months. Imagine that. I've tried and am still trying to convince myself that they are worth the wait, but for some reasons, I just can't. Why? Read along.

Reason #1: The color. It's supposedly white, not gray. They fit pretty well, though. Thank you.

Oh let's skip this one. I have no complaints for this pair. The color, size and the fitting - perfect. :) With them I can say it's worth the wait. Again, Thank you.

Alright, reason # 2: This pair just breaks my heart. I know I ordered a smaller size, but I was hoping (and wishing) that they would still somehow fit me despite the size (.5) difference. Should have ordered the right size, (but Target ran out of size 7.5, so I settled for size 6.5) OR must I say shouldn't have ordered this pair knowing they wouldn't fit me in the first place. Well I guess the blame is on me now, huh? But how could I resist when the very intention for purchasing online is to get a pair of them. Blame's on me, okay.

Reason #3: Again, these aren't my size either; too big on me. Sigh - that's all I can do. Hence, thinking of selling them instead. Anyone interested in buying them?
But in the end, I still want to believe that they are worth the wait. Besides, it's not everyday that I get to buy shoes from Target, right? :) So yeah, I say they are worth the wait. :)

P.S. After all, I'm still considering placing an order again with Target pretty soon. Have I not told you they were worth the wait? ;)

Nautical Monday

Aside from maxis, nautical happens to be one of my fave outfits these days. I think I've  worn this tee like 4-5 times for the past 3 weeks already. Not to mention, it's not even officially mine; it's my brother's. Since I can't find a perfect nautical top for myself, I thought I'd just borrow this from him. Good thing he has a knack for fashion, huh? Wait, I claim this tee. Mine already! Now that makes it officially mine. :) Topped it over my dress ( last worn here), which obviously serves as a  skirt here, plus don't forget that one thing that saves the day - belt! And wallah!
Me and my silly-looking lame face. Sorry. :(
with my cute, scene stealer cousin, Iyah!:)

Money talks

I went downtown to attend a meeting with the PDIC regarding the closure of one the local banks here where I have my savings deposits. But fret not, PDIC says I can still get it back...sooner or later. So just relax. It's not that I have lost a million bucks. Wish I had that amount. Hehe
Alright, about this post. I'm trying to give you a regular update post as you can see. But something unfortunate happened today while taking these photos - my camera got broken.:( It still works though. I just felt bad for it 'coz I rarely break (my) things. But accidents do happen sometimes right? Anyways, here's an outfit for today.
